1/15/25 “How to trust?”

Third letter. “How to trust?”
This letter is a bit of a look back at how a lot of people just don’t trust a platform. A simple game that wants to become an engine that people will use for all things. And for now I will call it bagel.

Why did this happen?
Well it wasn’t like that from the beginning. People look back at the beginning of development of bagel as chaotic where you never know what will break a week after week. But that was expected with a limited invite pre-alpha where nothing is finalized.

But everything changes when you open the flood gates to the general public.People know the studio and have some expectations that are bigger than the average pre-alpha dev.

– Because a lot of people who started to look at bagel looked for a fun thing not a half backed bagel. Why would anyone eat and rate a half backed bagel when there is always good quality backed bagel next door and adding onto that:

After the floor gates been opened for a bit of time because started to get used to things they use. And after that you just pull out the rug. And now all the things people worked on doesn’t work and there is nothing for “normal people” to do.

People and developers left for more stable bagel shop and some of them will come back, but most won’t.

How to fix this?…

“How to fix this?” is basically the same way of asking how to be more trust-able. Stability and information.

Stability is understandable but information?! What do I mean by that?.. Well people look at the engine as half backed bagel.. You need to inform people that now it’s much better and you don’t plan to pull the rug as hard again, maybe just a bit– but it won’t ruin everything you have been working for months.

And now there is an image issue. It takes a long time till people change an image of something and alot effort. Communicating clearly and just general support is a great way to do things! (The half backed bagel has been at work doing this point) But it will take a long time… A really long time. But you must keep up on your journey of redemption.

Result
Well, you have a lot of work to do. Good luck.
Good luck to everybody staying on this journey and trying to be alive.

long live Bagel
